Property and Cancellation Policies:
No Charge – If a reservation is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance of the arrival day and time.
Partial Charge – If a reservation is cancelled within 24 – 47 hours of the arrival day and time. Your credit card will be charged for the first day of your reservation and any successive days will be cancelled at no charge.
Full Charge – If a reservation is cancelled in less than 24 hours of the arrival day and time. Your credit card will be charged for the full amount owing for all of the days included in your reservation.
*Certain exclusions may apply. Holiday and special event weekends with a required minimum length of stay may be charged in their entirety if the property is fully booked and other customers have been turned away. Refund eligibility will be based upon lost revenue due to any vacant room(s). Please cancel your reservation at least 48 hours in advance to avoid any charges!
** If a guest does not arrive for their reservation on the confirmed date of arrival, all successive days included in the reservation will automatically be cancelled and charges will apply as stated above.
*** If you need to cancel a reservation, it is best to contact us by phone rather than email, to be sure your request is processed immediately. A notice of cancellation sent via email is not immediately confirmed – you must receive a confirmed cancellation notice from us to be assured your request has been fully processed.
Terms and Conditions
RATES ARE INCLUSIVE OF ALL TAXES, A LIGHT BREAKFAST, WI FI & OFF STREET PARKING.

* If you will be arriving after hours please contact us so we can make arrangements to leave a key in a designated location so you may check in upon arrival.
Reservation Terms: A valid credit card is required for a reservation to be confirmed and to cover any incidentals that may occur during the reservation time frame.
Identification: A passport or government issued picture ID may be required at check-in.
Payment Terms at Check-in: Guests are required to pay the balance due for their accommodation upon check-in.
Check-in time: 1pm - close (see reception hours above).
You are welcome to turn up earlier, however your bed / room may not be available at that time. Feel free to grab a cup of coffee and relax until we can place you, or we are happy to store your baggage so you can head out and enjoy the day.
Late arrivals: If you are going to arrive when our office is closed, you will need to make arrangements for a key to be left outside for you. You must contact us in advance of your arrival if you require this service, as we will not leave keys outside of the building after dark unless prior arrangements have been made. Please note, the full balance due will automatically be charged to your credit card before closing time on your arrival date.
Check-out: 7:00 - 11:00 am. Guests are required to inform reception that they are checking out and return their room keys LATE CHECK-OUTS MAY INCUR AN ADDITIONAL FEE IF ARRANGEMENTS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE IN ADVANCE WITH RECEPTION.
LOST KEYS WILL INCUR A $20.00 CHARGE PER SET: Please take every precaution to keep our keys safe!! If you need to check out earlier than 7:00 am please inform reception.
Our Right to Refuse Service: will be enforced if a guest does not meet our lodging requirements (personal information and credit card on file, proper identification etc) or has breached our standards of conduct (aggressive behavior, excessive intoxication, theft, disrespecting fellow guests, abuse of our property, etc). At their sole discretion, staff may ask a guest to vacate the premises at any time during their stay if any such issues arise.
Damages/Missing Items: If any damages or missing items are noted after departure, additional charges may apply.
Extensions: If you would like to extend your stay, we need to be informed no later than 11 am on your day of check out, but would recommend you inquire at reception as early as possible as reservations always take priority. We reserve the right to refuse an extension request if a guest does not meet our lodging requirements (personal information and credit card on file, proper identification etc) or has breached standards of conduct (aggressive behavior, excessive intoxication, theft, disrespecting fellow guests, abuse of our property, etc).
Maximum Stay: We generally observe a 4 day maximum stay in our dormitory accommodations, but management may approve extensions in certain cases.
Smoking: Of any kind is not allowed inside our guest rooms or common areas and is strictly enforced. Smoking is allowed in designated outside areas only. A $100 MINIMUM CLEANING FEE WILL APPLY IF A GUEST CHOOSES TO SMOKE IN THEIR ROOM.
Parking: The Hostel has an on-site parking lot which is available to guests on a first come, first serve basis. Reception will be happy to assist you with your parking needs. During times of high occupancy there is a possibility vehicles may need to be parked off property.
Maid Service: We do not provide daily maid service but would be happy to offer replacement linens and towels during your stay.
Pets: We do not allow any pets inside our building, sorry.
Service Animals: Are allowed in private rooms only, with proper documentation (emotional support animals are not eligible). AN ADDITIONAL CLEANING FEE OF UP TO $100 MAY APPLY.
Quiet hours: 10PM - 8AM. Please be respectful of your fellow travelers. Free ear plugs are available at reception.
Special Needs: If you have special needs, please contact us and we will be happy to answer questions and offer any assistance you may require. The Grand Canyon Hostel is a historic property and is not equipped with certain wheelchair friendly features, however, we have had many guests in wheelchairs who were able to stay with us comfortably.
Minors: All guests must be at least 18 years old, or traveling with an adult guardian 18 years of age or older, to stay at the Hostel.
Pricing for Children: One child who is 10 years old or younger may stay in a private room with their parent(s) free of charge. Children are not allowed to share a dormitory bed with their parent unless the room is exclusively reserved for 1 family (5 person maximum). Regular dorm rates will apply to children ages 11 and older.
Sleeping bags: Are not allowed on the beds. We provide fresh linen, comforters & blankets.
Dispute Resolution/Problems: If any issues or disputes arise, please contact management at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alcohol: Legal and responsible consumption is permitted on the premises, however if a guest becomes unruly or disruptive they will be asked to leave the premises immediately, and may not be issued a refund depending on the circumstances.
NO ILLEGAL DRUGS PLEASE - Zero tolerance! Guests will be asked to leave immediately with no refund if illegal drug use is evident.
Liability: The Grand Canyon Hostel does not assume liability for any theft, damages or injuries which may occur while staying at our property.
No Lockout, Curfew or Chores :)!
